German-based Heidelberg Cement Group will invest Tk 10 crore for installing more sophisticated technology and equipment in its existing plant site in the port city to produce quality cement.
They emphasised the need for using quality construction materials, including environment friendly and durable cement, for sustainable building structures as Bangladesh is one of the most earthquake-prone countries in the world.
Mark Van Kempen said his company has already introduced high quality Portland Composite Cement produced as per European standard norms in Bangladesh.
